Upgrade Available - v9.04

Release 9.04 is now ready - hot on the heels of 9.03 which had an issue causing save on booking periods to fail unless you had the new parameter turned on. I also took the opportunity to add a couple of extra little tweaks.

This release includes:

Minor Enhancements

• Change wording on booking period error message when making a booking and status is not permitted in the period
• Generate an email to EM Dev whenever a deadlock error occurs on payment (this is the error that was causing credit notes to be created when not expected - should not occur again, but would like notification if it does!)
• Allow member to add their own DOB if no DOB is on their profile (based on AllowMemberAddDOB parameter)
• Increase width on date fields and age field on make booking to allow full text to display in Safari

Fixes & Minor Enhancements

• Fix error when saving a booking period and have CheckStatusForBookingPeriod parameter set to false
• Fix error on links to view invoices in reports that took user to the login page - should now open pdf

Upgrade Available - v9.03

Release 9.03 is now available. This release has several exciting new features, as well as a number of fixes.

New Features & Minor Enhancements

• Ability to have member rates calculated based on age as at first night in the booking, instead of member status - controlled by AllowGetRateFromAge parameter and new field on Membership Status page
• Ability to add a per person booking fee to each booking - controlled by BookingFee parameter
• Ability to restrict booking periods to membership statuses (e.g. don't allow child statuses during adults week) - controlled by CheckStatusForBookingPeriod parameter and new fields on Booking Period page
• Change "Closed" invoices to be "Bad Debt" and update financial position and open invoice lists to include
• Add Select All option to all checkbox lists
• Add booking Conditions to My Bookings and Manage bookings pages

• Fix error with payment being processed twice causing erroneous credit note to be generated for member

• Fix error where dates that have both disabled booking period and also a enabled booking period showing as green (available) on Availability page
• Fix Availability calendar to correctly adhere to weekend and week night booking periods
• Fix display issue with booking timer when BunkTimerLimit set at more than 48 hours (2880 mins)
• Fix error when clicking on date to change night in SYB
• Fix error where clicking on "CHange Criteria" in Members Bed List page displays date selector even when BunkListMemberView set to NextDays
• Fix error where Club ID field showing in member profile even when not selected in MembershipProfileFields parameter
• Fix date format in Bed Changeover Report to be generic instead of USA
• Fix filename on Invoice Lines Report
• Fix staggered booking period when booking for a date which has no periods set up
• Fix error when selecting forward or back buttons on VIEW bunk list page changes to EDIT bunk list page
• Fix error with dates in adding and editing work parties

SQL Database Hardware Upgrade Tonight

Received the following from Kiwihosting regarding upgrading hardware. This may affect some clubs tonight.

"Tonight commencing 23:30 NZST (UTC+12) we will be conducting a hardware upgrade of our Microsoft SQL 2008 Server KIRK. 

This maintenance is expected to take approximately 3 hours during which time all databases on this server will be unavailable."

Emergency Maintenance/Upgrade and Outage

Have just received the following notification from the hosting which may be affecting some Club System sites.

"We have noticed that KIRK is reporting bad blocks on one of it's Hard Drives, to mitigate any failure to this server we will be performing emergency maintenance within the next 72 hours that will require a 2 -3 hour downtime as we will be taking this opportunity to upgrade the server hardware ahead of our intended schedule."
