Upgrade Available - v9.04

Release 9.04 is now ready - hot on the heels of 9.03 which had an issue causing save on booking periods to fail unless you had the new parameter turned on. I also took the opportunity to add a couple of extra little tweaks.

This release includes:

Minor Enhancements

• Change wording on booking period error message when making a booking and status is not permitted in the period
• Generate an email to EM Dev whenever a deadlock error occurs on payment (this is the error that was causing credit notes to be created when not expected - should not occur again, but would like notification if it does!)
• Allow member to add their own DOB if no DOB is on their profile (based on AllowMemberAddDOB parameter)
• Increase width on date fields and age field on make booking to allow full text to display in Safari

Fixes & Minor Enhancements

• Fix error when saving a booking period and have CheckStatusForBookingPeriod parameter set to false
• Fix error on links to view invoices in reports that took user to the login page - should now open pdf

Upgrade Available - v9.03

Release 9.03 is now available. This release has several exciting new features, as well as a number of fixes.

New Features & Minor Enhancements

• Ability to have member rates calculated based on age as at first night in the booking, instead of member status - controlled by AllowGetRateFromAge parameter and new field on Membership Status page
• Ability to add a per person booking fee to each booking - controlled by BookingFee parameter
• Ability to restrict booking periods to membership statuses (e.g. don't allow child statuses during adults week) - controlled by CheckStatusForBookingPeriod parameter and new fields on Booking Period page
• Change "Closed" invoices to be "Bad Debt" and update financial position and open invoice lists to include

SQL Database Hardware Upgrade Tonight

Received the following from Kiwihosting regarding upgrading hardware. This may affect some clubs tonight.

"Tonight commencing 23:30 NZST (UTC+12) we will be conducting a hardware upgrade of our Microsoft SQL 2008 Server KIRK. 

This maintenance is expected to take approximately 3 hours during which time all databases on this server will be unavailable."

Emergency Maintenance/Upgrade and Outage

Have just received the following notification from the hosting which may be affecting some Club System sites.

"We have noticed that KIRK is reporting bad blocks on one of it's Hard Drives, to mitigate any failure to this server we will be performing emergency maintenance within the next 72 hours that will require a 2 -3 hour downtime as we will be taking this opportunity to upgrade the server hardware ahead of our intended schedule."

Upgrade Available - v9.01

The first version for 2014 is now available! This release includes the following.

New Feature

• Ability to create booking conditions which members must accept during the booking process. Use the new page in the Admin > Maintain Club section to create your conditions, and select when they should show. Conditions will display on booking emails.

Fixes & Minor Enhancements

• Fix error where booking emails are being sent even when select to not send notification emails.
• Fix error where multiple emails are sent for offline bookings
• When recording a payment (committee), don't populate the amount field - to avoid just clicking enter without entering the appropriate amount in the case of part payment
• When recording a payment (committee) or making a payment (member), don't allow for over payment of the invoice - to avoid unnecessary credit notes or errors

Upgrade Available - v8.17

Version 8.17 is now available. This release includes a couple of minor fixes and one small enhancement. It will likely be the last release for 2013 (unless any urgent issues arise).

Minor Enhancement

• Add a list of members within the family to the financial summary page so you can see at a glance who the summary is for

Minor Fixes

• Fix issue stopping in progress bookings from being cancelled / removed if the in progress part is an incomplete update to the booking
• Fix display of financial summary page when the club is not using all financial functionality (i.e. booking or subs payments off)
• Update all reports to remove trailing spaces off heading names
• Update membership report to not drop leading zeros from post code / zip

Upgrade Available - v8.16

Version 8.16 is now available for your club to upgrade. This release (containing both 8.15 and 8.16) includes the following:

New Features

• Add a new option to AutoUpdateFinancial to allow financial status to be based on open invoices, and also combine AutoUpdateFinancialAllTypes and AutoUpdateFinancial parameters. This makes four options:
1. All - financial status based on total financial position
2. Subs - financial status based on subs financial position
3. Open Invoice - financial status based on any open invoices of any type
4. Manual - financial status not updated automatically
• Add option to not allow event ticket, meal or merchandise purchases when the member is not financial (based on OnlyAllowPurchasesWhenFinancial parameter)
• Add filter to committee invoices page to allow selection of different member subsets to work with. Options include Members only or Non-members and Hidden members, Financial or Unfinancial members, Family with or without email address and members with an open subs invoice but no bookings

Fixes

• When using a credit note to pay an invoice where the credit note type is different to the invoice type, then need to add transactions to transfer the amount between the two types (only applicable when not using type for credit notes - see UseTypeForCreditNotes parameter)
• When using the Edit Person option to change a booking from cancelled back to accepted, resolve the error that was stopping an invoice from being reopened
• Payment page displaying "no open invoices" when there are open invoices to pay
• Fix bug where invoices not rolling over to overdue
• Add refund option back in on credit notes (was accidentally removed when UseTypeForCreditNotes functionality was introduced)

Smaller Changes

• On the payment complete message, add a link back to the member's financial summary page
• Resolve error ("transtype") when making a payment using a credit note
• Update financial summary and members open invoices pages to display all open invoices regardless of date
• Change Pay Later button on committee payment page to be Cancel, and save button on member payment page to be Pay Now
